Scalable Cloud Platform
Cloudstore is built to support growth across products, markets, users, content libraries, print partners and geographies — not just the volume a single use case happened to be sized for. Underneath, it runs as a multi-tenant cloud platform built on micro-services that scale on demand, with routing that splits work by site and capacity and automation that reacts to triggers and SLA escalations rather than manual intervention. The same architecture serving the API Gateway and Channel Gateway today keeps working as more order platforms, ecommerce channels, print partners and production sites connect to it.
That gives a business room to grow without re-platforming — a focused starting point can expand into broader print-on-demand, art-on-demand or fulfilment models on the same foundation. Secure Print Streaming
Secure Print Streaming keeps original image assets inside secure cloud vaults, rather than distributing copies of the file to every production location that might need one. The more places an original is copied to, the more places it can be lost, leaked or misused — so Cloudstore avoids that exposure altogether by never letting the original leave the vault in the first place.
When a job needs to be produced, Cloudstore streams the print-ready data directly to the authorised production destination for that specific job, governed by rights rules rather than open file access. Every job is recorded, giving rights holders an auditable trail of exactly where and when their content was used, with production limited to authorised destinations only.
It significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised distribution — though, like any security measure, it isn't a guarantee against every form of misuse.
API & Integrations
Cloudstore Central is designed to operate as part of a wider technology ecosystem rather than as an isolated application. Its API-first architecture provides a consistent integration layer for connecting ecommerce platforms, order management systems, customer applications, production software, print partners and other third-party services. Through secure REST APIs and event-driven interfaces, external systems can submit and query orders, exchange product and artwork information, retrieve production and fulfilment status, and interact with the platform without needing to replicate its underlying workflow logic.
This integration layer significantly extends the reach of Cloudstore Central. New sales channels, applications, production sites and specialist services can be connected to the same platform while retaining their own user experience and business processes. Cloudstore Central becomes the orchestration layer between otherwise independent systems — normalising incoming data, applying routing and workflow rules, coordinating fulfilment and exposing status back to connected applications. Connected Production
Cloudstore Central extends beyond the cloud into the production environment, connecting central workflows with local print software, queues and output devices. Lightweight local agents provide a secure bridge between the platform and each production site, allowing jobs, status information and operational commands to move between cloud services and on-premise systems without exposing local infrastructure directly to the internet.
This approach allows each production site to retain local control while operating as part of a coordinated wider network. Cloudstore Central can distribute work to the appropriate site, communicate with local production software, receive job and device status, and keep central systems updated as work progresses. As new printers, sites and partners are added, the same edge connectivity model allows the production network to expand without requiring major changes to the core platform.
Print & Colour Technology
Cloudstore Central connects cloud workflows with a high-performance RIP and colour-management layer designed for demanding large-format production. The technology handles file interpretation, image processing, print preparation and device-specific output while maintaining accurate colour reproduction across different media, printers and production environments. This allows artwork to move from digital file to finished print with greater predictability, quality and control.
In distributed production, consistency is as important as speed. Printer, media and colour profiles can be managed across multiple sites so that the same artwork can be reproduced to a consistent visual standard regardless of where it is produced. Support for a broad range of leading printer manufacturers and models allows different devices to participate within the same production network, giving Cloudstore Central the flexibility to scale across mixed hardware environments without compromising output quality.
